  9. WHAT IS REQUIRED?
  10. -----------------
  11.   VGA controller and display (320*200)
  12.   AdLib or SoundBlaster card (or better)
  13.   Microsoft compatible mouse (the mouse driver must be loaded)
  14.   DOS 3.32 or higher
  15.  
  16. IF YOU WANT TO TRY CD-BOX QUICKLY:
  17. ----------------------------------
  18.   Create a directory, extract all the files from CDBOX306 into this directory,
  19.   and type RUNME (French users, type TAPEZMOI). More information is in
  20.   "INSTALLATION" in CDBOX.DOC.

  22. IF CD-BOX HANGS WHILE LOADING SONGS:
  23. ------------------------------------
  24.   Type CDBOX/D; the faulty song will be displayed on the screen. Erase it or
  25.   move it and run CD-Box again.
  26.  
  27. .CMF PLAYBACK:
  28. --------------
  29.   SBFMDRV.COM has to be loaded in memory before starting CD-Box.
  30.  
  31. .ROL PLAYBACK:
  32. --------------
  33.   SOUND.COM has to be loaded in memory before starting CD-Box.

  35. .MOD PLAYBACK:
  36. --------------
  37.   Quality may be improved (or downgraded) by changing the MixingSpeed=
  38.   parameter in CDBOX.CFG. If many of your .MODs don't load, see "TROUBLE WITH
  39.   .MOD FILES" in "trouble-shooting" in CDBOX.DOC. Or wait for CD-Box Gold
  40.   v3.10 which will blow your speakers away... :-)

  42. .MID AND .MUS PLAYBACK:

  44.   These two formats require an external player; see CDBOX.DOC for details.

  48.   Many answers are in CDBOX.DOC, simply look at the table of contents until
  49.   you see the header you want. CDBOX/? and CDBOX/D may also prove useful
  50.   someday. If you're stuck, write me.
